━  Dalton Dynamoes JAFC Club Code of Conduct 2025/26

Code of Conduct overview

Welcome to Dalton Dynamoes Junior Football Club. This code of conduct is in place to ensure that everyone who is involved with the club is aware of their own responsibilities and behaviours and is expected to behave in an appropriate way. Everyone involved with Dalton Dynamoes has a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in the game.

Children and young people

  • Always play to the best of your ability and avoid all forms of gamesmanship and time-wasting
  • Respect your team-mates, the opposing team, the referee, spectators and the    coach/manager. Failure to follow this may result in you being suspended from playing until a decision has been made by the Committee about your future at the club
  • Bullying is not acceptable and will be dealt with by the club committee – Please see the anti-bullying policy in the files in Spond
  • Play by the rules, as directed by the referee
  • Correct sized shin pads must be worn at all times at training and at matches. No shins pads will mean no game.
  • Listen and respond to what your coach/ team manager tells you
  • When training, respect each other and do not get involved in any behaviour that disrupts the session or affects other players.
  •  Any foul or abusive language aimed at any member of the club either player, parent or coach will be dealt with by the committee which may result in expulsion from the club.

Talk to someone you trust or the club welfare officer if you’re unhappy about anything at Dalton Dynamoes.

Or email helencheeseman1972@sky.com Club Child Welfare Officer.

Parents, carers and spectators

  • Remember that children play for fun
  • Applaud effort and good play, as well as success.
  • Never engage in, or tolerate offensive, insulting or abusive language or behaviour, towards anyone present. We operate a “ two strikes and you’re out” policy. If you are found to display unacceptable behaviour, you will be issued a written warning. If you again fail to comply, then you and your child/dependent, and /or any other child/dependent in the club will be removed from the club with immediate effect. Any subs paid will not be reimbursed and all kits will be returned.
  • When respect barriers are in place you must stay behind them and never enter the field of play without permission.
  • Respect the referees decisions at all times and encourage players to accept decisions made by the referee acting with grace and maturity.  Any grievances should be brought to the coaches attention after the game.
  • Please be courteous and reply to any SPOND notifications from your coach/ manager as soon as you can.
  • Players who fail to regularly attend training will not be picked for matches. This may result in your child being removed from the team with the decision being made by the Committee.
  • In line with current welfare guidelines, children under the age of 8 require an adult to bring them to and from matches and training and to stay with them throughout the duration. Children and young people over the age of 8 do not have to be escorted to and from, nor require an adult to stay with them during training sessions or matches; however it is encouraged where possible. Please make sure you collect your child on time as failure to do so may result in them not being invited to games/training sessions.
  • All litter to be taken home with yourself after every training session or match with home or away
  • Subs are to be paid in full or as per the agreed installments. Two consecutive missed payments will result in the removal of your child/ren/dependent/s. If you are finding it difficult to pay your instalments, please talk to your coach/ team manager as soon as possible, where this can be discussed with the Committee, depending on individual circumstances.
  • Any football related fines received by your child/dependent must be paid within the time frame stipulated. Failure to do so will result in the suspension of your child, until payment is made.
  • Any fundraising activity you participate in is done purely for the benefit of the teams. Final decisions re spending team funds will be made by the designated coaches and the fundraise parents only. Exclusions are not permitted unless the committee agrees.

A polite reminder that everyone involved in the club is a volunteer, who volunteers their time to enable your children and young people to be part of Dalton Dynamoes; to develop their football skills, to build their confidence, to make new friends and most importantly to be part of a great football family. At the very least, all involved at Dalton Dynamoes should follow the above Code of Conduct to make sure that everyone involved has the respect they deserve.
